The 2019 CEDIA EMEA Awards and Global CEDIA Awards have been announced, with UK installers among those triumphing in the industry body's celebration of dedicated home cinemas, media rooms and smart home installations.

UK installer Pyramid AV scooped the prize in the Home Cinema Level II category for it basement projected dubbed The Cavern (pictured above), a system employing bespoke acoustic treatments (including 56 separate laser-cut panels), 9.3.6-channel immersive audio, and a 3.3m screen fed by a JVC 4K HDR projector. Another UK winner was SMC in the Media Room Level II category (pictured below), while Perfect Integration picked up five awards across the Integrated Home, Technology Meets Design and Life Best Lived at Home categories, plus a Highly Commended recognition in the premium Home Cinema Level III category.

In the Global Awards that combine the EMEA region with American and Asia Pacific projects, Indian installer Sound Sense followed its 2018 win with another Best Home Cinema award, US company Audio Images scooped Best Media Room, and Perfect Integration won Best Integrated Home.
