Arrow Video has confirmed The 'Burbs Blu-ray for a September 15 release in the UK, in both a 'deluxe' edition and a limited edition SteelBook featuring an updated version of the original artwork.

The darkly comic Tom Hanks vehicle, directed by Joe Dante (Gremlins, Piranha), has been given a 2K restoration by Arrow Films, overseen by touch-up maestro James White and approved by Dante.

The Blu-ray will feature The 'Burbs in its original 1.85:1 aspect ratio with uncompressed stereo audio, and offer two versions – the Theatrical Cut and the original Workprint of the movie, transferred from Dante’s personal copy. This is available for the very first time, and includes deleted and alternate scenes.

Other extras include A Tale of Two ‘Burbs, a new featurette comparing the differences between the Workprint and Theatrical cuts with audio commentary from Dante; a new feature-length doc There Goes the Neighbourhood: The Making of The ‘Burbs; a new audio commentary; alternate ending; original theatrical trailer; isolated music and FX soundtrack; and a collector's booklet illustrated with original archive stills and posters.
