Paramount Home Entertainment has revealed that the fourth instalment in the Mission: Impossible franchise will be hitting BD and DVD in the US on April 17.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol will be available in three flavours: 1-disc DVD, 2-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack and Limited Edition 3-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack. All of which will also feature an UltraViolet Digital Copy of the movie.

Extras confirmed for the three-disc edition include three Mission Accepted featurettes (Suiting Up in Prague, Heating Up Dubai and Vancouver Fisticuffs), eleven Impossible Missions featurettes (The Russian Prison, Shooting in IMAX, Art Department, A Roll of Film, Life Masks, Stepping into the Storm, The Sandstrom, Dubai Car CrashLens on the Burj, Props and Composer), deleted scenes (including an alternate opening) with commentary by director Brad Bird and trailers. The studio has also confirmed that the Blu-ray will include a Dolby TrueHD 7.1 soundtrack.

While Paramount UK is remaining tight-lipped, HCC expects the film to make its home entertainment debut on this side of the Atlantic in late April/early May. And at least this US announcement gives UK fans an early look at what to expect when it eventually makes it to these shores.
