DALI has announced its new Kubik One, billing it as the 'ultimate one-box solution for audio lovers everywhere'.

Priced at around £800, the single-enclosure speaker is designed to function both as a soundbar hooked up to a TV, or as an audio device in any room. For the former, it features twin optical digital audio inputs (there's no HDMI provision). Other connections include Aptx Bluetooth for smart device streaming, a stereo analogue input, 3.5mm input, USB hookup and a subwoofer out.

The Kubik One employs two of DALI's wood fibre mid/bass drivers (5.25in) and two 1in soft dome tweeters, arranged in a stereo configuration. Class D amplification is rated at 100W (4 x 25W), and the brand claims a maximum SPL of 103dB.

The speaker's main housing is constructed from a single piece of thin extruded alumimium, which DALI says provides the cabinet rigidity necessary to reduce unwanted resonances, while affording greater cabinet volume to improve bass response.

Available grille finishes from launch are red, black or white – additional colours will be available.
