One thing that has hampered the uptake of media centre PCs is the need for a mouse and keyboard in the living room. No one wants to spent all day slaving over ‘QWERTY’ and their chums, and get home and have to deal with a Microsoft MCE (Media Center Edition) keyboard.
Peripheral manufacturer, Logitech, has answered the cry for help for those of us that have adopted Vista-based systems as lounge-based media hubs. The diNovo Mini is no bigger than a PDA or smartphone, yet has an entire QWERTY key layout, a stack of assignable function keys and a thumb scroll pad that replaces the mouse control.
While initially tricky to manipulate, some practice yields great results and after tweaking with the included software you can whizz a mouse controller around the screen with consummate ease.
