Although there was no licensed-videogame to complement Casino Royale, Activision has included the themeology and plot lines of Daniel Craig's first Bond outing as part of its Quantum of Solace adaptation.
The game, for PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 is out on October 31 (the same date QoS hits UK cinemas), and features missions based on both movies – chopping and changing the chronological structure to keep you on your toes. Hopefully, this should go some way to placating those who bemoaned the absence of an official game last time around.
The action is primarily first-person shooter-oriented, and uses the excellent Call of Duty 4 engine for graphics and environmental gameplay- elements, but developer Treyarch is keen to stress that it's no dumb shoot-em-up. Puzzle-, stealth- and chase-sequences are as equally important as blasting away at nefarious henchmen, and there is more than one occasion when releasing a volley of bullets will be detrimental to your mission and/or health. We, at HCC, certainly can't wait.

In the meantime, to whet your appetite for ultra-Bondage, here's Adam Buxton's excellent Quantum of Solace theme song, as originally recorded for 'Song Wars' in the Adam & Joe BBC 6 Music radio show (and free podcast). We genuinely doubt Jack White and Alicia Keye's will be better...
