KJ West One and Quad team up for audio showcase

London retailer offering evening of 'fine music, great sound'

AV retailer KJ West One is throwing open its doors for an evening of high-end audio on October 16 in association with British brand Quad.

Peter J. Comeau, head of Acoustic Design at Quad's parent company IAG, will be presenting Quad's family of audio electronics and speakers at a free ticket-only event at KJ West One's London store.

'This will be an extraordinary and unique opportunity to get up close and hear the current generation of components from this truly legendary British brand,' says the retailer. 'You will get to experience the Platinum series electronics, the Elite range that offers such exceptional value and the classic valve-based components, so historically symbolic of Quad.

Attendees will also get the chance to audition the Vena, a new integrated stereo amplifier that sees Quad catering for multi-source music buffs courtesy of Bluetooth (apt-X), USB, stereo analogue, optical/coaxial digital audio and iPhone/iPod compatbility. The Vena will be partnered with Quad's 11 L standmount loudspeakers.

There will also be a demonstration of the brand's electrostatic ESL-2912 speakers, with matching Quad amplification.

'Come along, enjoy an evening with us, and hear some fine music and a great sound made the KJ West One way,' says KJ West One, which was first established in 1971 in London's West End. The store offers offers three purpose-built listening rooms across its two floors, and packs AV exotica from the likes of Krell, Focal, Martin Logan and Audio Research.

The event takes place from 6pm at KJ West One, 26 New Cavendish Street, London W1. Call 020 7486 8262 or email [email protected] to book your free ticket.
