Is Prometheus coming to Blu-ray and DVD on October 11th?

Official website starts teasing fans that 'something' will happen on that date...

With Ridley Scott's Alien prequel Prometheus having opened at cinemas you'd think that activity at the official website would be winding down. But it appears that there are still a number of mysteries surrounding the film yet to be revealed.

Perhaps the most interesting can be found on the website's 'Corporate Timeline'. Scroll down towards the bottom and you'll find an entry called 'Weyland Incorporates', dated October 11, 2012. Next to the text for this entry is a flag icon and clicking on this takes you to another website entitled www.whatis101112.com...

At present there's not a lot to be seen on the page, just a revolving 3D render of German philiosopher Freidrich Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra: A Book for All and None (the links between this and the film will be apparant to anyone who has seen it) and a link to a short video. The latter shows Peter Weyland quoting the line 'I am a law only for my kind. I am no law for all' from Nietzsche's book. A collection of five hexagons at the top left of the page indicates that this is Module 1A-1, and the fact that only one of the hexagons is coloured means that there could still be four more Modules still to come.

Clearly the team behind Prometheus still have places they want to take us and with former Lost writer Damon Lindelhof involved, it could just be a lot of viral smoke and mirrors. But given the date in question, it's hard not to think that the logical endgame for all of this will be the release date for the film's 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD. So keep your eyes on October 11th and see what unfolds...
