Now TV launches 4K HDR streaming box, bundles Netflix

There’s a new 4K streaming TV box in town, and it comes from Now TV. What’s more, it adds Netflix to the platform for the first time.

Following hot on the heels of Sky’s partnership with Netflix on Sky Q, the new Now TV streamer is once again 'powered by Roku' and will come with an integrated Netflix app, plus Voice Search for improved navigation. And new Live Pause technology can be used with Now TV’s premium live channels, including Sky Sports, FOX, Comedy Central and Sky Atlantic.

The Now TV Smart Box with 4K & Voice Search is HDR10 capable, supporting 2160p up to 60fps. Ultra HD streams are available from Netflix and YouTube. Sky content, however, is not available in 4K from the box, only HD. It comes with a Wi-Fi remote and Micro SD card slot to expand storage.

The Now TV platform also includes catch-up TV from BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All4 and My5, as well as UKTV Play, Red Bull TV, Sky Store, YouTube and Vevo.

Netflix has also been added to the app slate of the non-4K Now TV Smart Stick.

The Now TV 4K Roku box is priced at £46, making it the cheapest 4K streamer on the market. Savvy buyers can pick it up bundled with a month-long Entertainment, Sky Cinema and Kids pass, and a Sky Sports Day Pass, for just £50 from Argos and Currys PCWorld.
