LG's 105in curved 4K TV to go on sale in Harrods

21:9 ratio screen will set you back £60,000...

LG has announced that its super-sized 105UC9 TV – a 105in curved 4K/Ultra HD model using a 21:9 aspect ratio – will be made available to the well-heeled customers of Harrods, provided they can part with £60,000.

The CineVu screen employs a direct LED-lit IPS panel with a 5,120 x 2,160 '5K' resolution. Aiming for an audio performance to match the grandeur of its visuals, LG endows its flagship creen with a 7.2-channel speaker array developed in partnership with Harman/Kardon. The company's natty WebOS Smart platform is also on board.

'With a resolution of 11-million pixels, the 105in Curved Ultra HD panel is proof of our continued leadership in the next-generation display market, offering exceptional world-class value to our customers,' says Andrew Mackay, LG UK's  Commercial Director, Consumer Electronics, somewhat glossing over the price tag.
