National Treasure: Collector's Edition review

Anton van Beek's picture

National Treasure is packed with stunts, chases, spectacular set-pieces and a crazy Nic Cage performance (pretty much everything you expect from a Jerry Bruckheimer production), and it’s impossible not to be won over by this exemplary Blu-ray re-issue, especially if you like your movies to have more brawn than brains.
The AVC 2.35:1 transfer is mostly impressive (although a handful of scenes look washed-out) and the Dolby TrueHD audio is wonderfully dynamic. All of the extras from the old DVD are here, as well as a brand new chat track, and a groovy BD-Java-powered interactive look at the Declaration of Independence.
