Son of Rambow review

Anton van Beek's picture

Set during the mid ‘80s, writer/director Garth Jennings’ superb comedy/coming-of-age drama follows two very different young boys who become unlikely friends through their love of First Blood. Inspired by the movie, they set out to make their own sequel. A delightful film that will go down a treat with anyone who grew up in the early 1980s.
The DVD itself is impressive. The anamorphic 2.35:1 image is rendered perfectly, while the Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is playful and lively. A fantastic and in-depth collection of extras includes interviews, a Making of… featurette, a commentary, a short films Jennings made as a child and more.
